The LavaPort-Quad is a PCI bus 4-port serial accelerator card capable of sustained transfer rates up to 460.8k bps on each port. Primarily a server product, the LavaPort-Quad provides an excellent and cost effective remote access solution (4 or 8 modem capability). The LavaPort-Quad's PCI architecture allows IRQ sharing, saving valuable resources for other expansion cards. Addressable for any COM I/O address, the card provides greater flexibility in serial port set-ups. Its integrated 16650 UART represents the next generation of UART technology utilizing an expanded 64-byte FIFO (First In First Out) buffer, with software configurable Tx/Rx triggers. The LavaPort-Quad ensures better and faster connectivity. Features: PCI bus 4-port serial accelerator board - allows user to configure 4 COM Ports on the faster PCI bus, at data rates up to 460.8k bps. Each port includes integrated 64-byte FIFO buffer (16654 UART) with software configurable Tx/Rx triggers, 4X clock, and on-board flow control, that guarantee errorless data transmission even at top speed. All four ports share one PCI bus IRQ - even when accessed simultaneously, saving valuable resources for other expansion cards. Includes Lava Com Port Redirect and Lava Modem Speed Set software for easy configuration of 230.4k bps capable external modems.
